Yusuke Aoki, the winner of the C3 Valrhona 2018, began his illustrious career in a French pastry boutique in Shiga, Japan, mastering the art of French pastries and viennoiseries. His journey took him to The Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo, Toronto, and Doha, where he honed his skills as an international pastry chef. In Paris, he refined his expertise under the guidance of MOF chef Stéphane Glacier.
In 2017, Yusuke became the executive pastry chef at Four Seasons Resort Bali, overseeing the pastry creations for two resorts. His exceptional talent was recognized when he won the Valrhona Chocolate Chef Competition in 2018, triumphing in both the Asian pre-selection in Singapore and the world final in New York City.
Returning to Japan in 2020, Yusuke led the pastry operations at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, innovating modern afternoon tea and parfait desserts. Now, as an independent pastry chef consultant, he shares his passion and expertise through masterclasses, collaborations, and consultations.
